What is VoxQuote exactly?
A voice-first quoting tool for Australian sole tradies. You tap a mic, say the customer name, the job, and the price, and it drafts a professional quote with line items, GST, and your ABN — ready to send by email, SMS, or WhatsApp in about 30 seconds.
Do I need to be technical?
No. If you can send a text message you can use VoxQuote. The whole product is designed for a tradie sitting in their ute with greasy hands.
What trades are supported?
Over 50 — from plumbing, electrical, and carpentry through to cleaning specialists (end-of-lease, carpet, pressure-wash), removalists, smart-home installers, EV-charger techs, and solar maintenance. The full list is on the /signup page.
Can I try it before signing up?
Yes — head to voxquote.com.au/try, paste any customer brief, and you'll see a drafted quote in seconds. No email, no card. If you sign up afterwards we'll save the draft as your first real quote automatically.
Pricing + billing
How much does it cost?
Free tier with 5 voice quotes a month and unlimited manual quotes. Pro ($29/mo AUD, GST inclusive) unlocks every other feature — unlimited voice, SMS + WhatsApp, auto-chase, lead widget, BAS report, the lot. One paid plan, not a starter / pro / enterprise maze. All prices in AUD, GST included.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every new signup gets 14 days of Pro included automatically — no card required. If you don't upgrade you just drop to Free; we never charge without permission.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. The Stripe customer portal handles cancel + downgrade + plan-switch yourself — you don't need to email us. Inside your first 14 days on a paid plan, email support@voxquote.com.au and we'll refund the period you've paid for: the full first month for monthly subscribers, or a 14-day pro-rated refund of the annual fee for yearly subscribers. We'll ask one short question about the gap so we can fix it; the refund isn't conditional on your answer. This is in addition to (not instead of) your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Do you offer annual pricing?
Yes. The yearly tier saves ~17% vs monthly. Toggle monthly/yearly on the /pricing page.
How it actually works
How fast is it really?
Roughly 30 seconds of dictation, a couple of seconds for the AI draft, then you review and hit send. Compared with typing a quote on a phone keyboard (most tradies tell us 3–5 minutes), that's typically a several-times speed gain on the individual quote — your mileage will vary by job complexity and how clean the dictation is.
What if I quote a trade you don't support?
We still draft the quote — the extractor just won't have trade-specific vocab bias. If you tell us what you do, we'll add a vocab pack in the next ship. Email roadmap@voxquote.com.au.
Do I need internet on site?
For the voice dictation, yes (Whisper runs in the cloud). For drafting and sending, yes. But you can save recordings offline — they queue locally and upload when you're back in range.
What happens if the AI gets the quote wrong?
You always see the draft before it sends. Edit any line item, customer field, or total in place. The AI is a first-draft assistant, not a decision-maker.
What if I send to the wrong customer?
Every Send has a 60-second cancel window. After you tap Send a countdown toast appears with a Cancel button — tap it within the minute and the email / SMS doesn't go out. After 60s the actual delivery fires. There's also a Send-now button if you want to skip the wait. (Heads-up on V1: if you close the tab during the countdown the timer dies with it, which also cancels — so don't leave the page if you want it to send.)
Privacy, security + compliance
Where is my data stored?
Primarily in Supabase data centres in the Asia-Pacific region. AI transcription runs via OpenAI / Groq servers in the United States — you consent to this at signup. See our Privacy Policy for the exact list of sub-processors.
What happens to my voice recordings?
Audio is deleted from our storage immediately after the quote is extracted. We keep the transcript as evidence of what was captured (APP 11 data minimisation), but the raw audio is never retained.
Is this compliant with the Spam Act 2003?
Yes — we build compliance in by default. Every send stamps a consent basis on the audit log (quote request / prior relationship / lead widget / express consent). Recipients who reply STOP are permanently suppressed. Per-recipient 24h rate caps prevent accidental harassment.
What's your breach-notification posture?
We follow the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988. Anomalous access patterns (e.g. >100 profile rows via a single credential) trigger our internal alert. If a breach assessment finds eligible data has been accessed, we'll notify affected users + the OAIC within the 30-day statutory assessment window.
Do you sell my data?
No. We have no advertising business, no cross-site tracking, and no data-sharing arrangement with any third party that isn't a listed sub-processor (Stripe, Twilio, Supabase, OpenAI, Resend, Vercel). Read the Privacy Policy — it's short and plain-English.

How do I get help?
Email support@voxquote.com.au. We reply inside a day, usually inside an hour during AEST business hours. Pro subscribers get the priority queue.
Will you build the feature I want?
Email roadmap@voxquote.com.au and tell us what and why. We publish our commits at /changelog and our backlog at /roadmap. Most user-requested features land in the next ship if they make sense.
Do you have a mobile app?
VoxQuote is a Progressive Web App — add it to your home screen from Chrome (Android / desktop) or Safari (iOS) and it feels exactly like a native app. Works offline, supports push notifications, fits inside iOS's privacy model without an App Store download.
